SCOTUS Justices clearly can’t be trusted to police themselves.
And Roberts has shown little interest in holding them to account for numerous conflicts of interest.
The Supreme Court is facing a legitimacy crisis, and failing to hold Thomas accountable will only make it worse.
CDC states that death can be caused by Long COVID:
"Emerging evidence suggests that..SARS-CoV-2..can have lasting effects on nearly every organ and organ system of the body weeks, months, and potentially years after infection. Documented serious post-COVID-19 conditions include cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, renal, endocrine, hematological, and gastrointestinal complications, as well as death.
The “both-sides" reporting on the debt ceiling by the mainstream media is preposterous.
This fight is being waged solely by the Republican Party.
When Trump was in power, Republicans voted to increase the debt limit three times. Now they refuse.
The GOP owns this crisis.

Imagine what #IndoorAirQualityStandards would do for our health, health system, productivity + this pandemic.
How many millions of people will be disabled or suffer early death from Long/COVID, not to mention missing work X times/year, before we invest in an ounce of prevention? https://twitter.com/DFisman/status/1592178566028050432

Please remind everyone:
There is a long-term, substantial rise in risk of cardiovascular disease, including heart attack and stroke, after a SARS-CoV-2 infection — even with a mild case.
Everyone should adopt precautions that were done for the wealthy and powerful in Davos at the WEF with clean air including strong ventilation and HEPA filters, testing, and available masks.
Title: Heart-disease risk soars after COVID — even with a mild case
Long Covid is more than a little fatigue and brain fog. It can be life-changing and career-ending, and the damage can shorten our lives in ways we can’t necessarily see at first.
The name “Long Covid” can be misleading. This chronic illness isn’t just a mild version of the initial infection that “sticks around.”
It’s easy to think of symptoms like fever, coughing, and fatigue as the disease itself, but these are only some of the symptoms. The true impact on our bodies is more extensive.
Evidence suggests that the effects of Long Covid include organ damage that can accumulate both over time and with repeat infections. It can affect nearly every bodily system and cause hundreds of different symptoms.
Long Covid can be debilitating in life-changing ways — even for those previously in peak physical condition — or it can lead to death from heart attacks, strokes, and other ways our bodies can fail after being weakened by disease.

These dendritic cell deficiencies also last at least 7 months.
In sars1 they come back after 2 months.
When will they reattain baseline?
I don’t think they will
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV)-2 infection induces an exacerbated inflammation driven by innate immunity components. Dendritic cells (DCs) play a key role in the defense against viral infections, for instance plasmacytoid DCs (pDCs), have the capacity to produce vast amounts of interferon-alpha (IFN-α). In COVID-19 there is a deficit in DC numbers and IFN-α production, which has been associated with disease severity. In this work, we described that in addition to the DC deficiency, several DC activation and homing markers were altered in acute COVID-19 patients, which were associated with multiple inflammatory markers. Remarkably, previously hospitalized and nonhospitalized patients remained with decreased numbers of CD1c+ myeloid DCs and pDCs seven months after SARS-CoV-2 infection. Moreover, the expression of DC markers such as CD86 and CD4 were only restored in previously nonhospitalized patients, while no restoration of integrin β7 and indoleamine 2,3-dyoxigenase (IDO) levels were observed. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the immunological sequelae of COVID-19.
Chinese hospital staff report severe disease linked to reinfections with Omicron
Reinfected patients are presenting with more severe disease, some only a month out from their first bout, due to the damage done to the immune system by the first infection with COVID-19," Li said.
