Brain fog could be caused by stressors impacting the prefrontal cortex (PFC).
Neuroinflammation drives kynurenic acid production, from kynurenine by kynurenine aminotransferase isozymes (KAT II), which blocks N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors, reducing the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) neuronal firing needed for higher cognition.
N-acetylcysteine (NAC) works by inhibiting KAT II to reduce production of kynurenic acid.

Damn cov*d in the house again!
Pls wear masks! 😷
Partner mostly likely caught it at work, in a healthcare setting, where ventilation is terrible.
We’re isolating from each other and wearing masks inside when not in our rooms.
Asthmatic 8yo and I have tested negative so far.
Celebrating an important win!
Despite my recent #MECFS crash, & with the help of many good people, we were able to get 10 Renogy Phoenix Power Stations into #Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
These are going from Kyiv to recently liberated Kherson to help keep the lights and comms switched on at schools, local charities and administrative centres. 💙💛
Will be conducting a fund raising for more units and compatible solar panels soon using opencollective.com
