Miracle on Cary

Last night I waited in line for 30 minutes to get into ā€œMiracle on Caryā€, a Christmas-themed pop-up bar hosted at The Jasper (and other participating bars around the world) for the past…

Had a little too much fun to blog about it tonight, but I had a BLAST at Miracle on Cary this evening. More tomorrow. Plenty of photos. #RVADine
Although apparently this show predates Cheer!?
My wife is watching Cheer Squad on Netflix, which is like a discount Canadian version of Cheer. And I’m not talking about the quality/skill of the cheerleaders. The show itself is so hilariously bad that it’s like a Christopher Guest mockumentary about cheering.
@swilliams is that the pro zoom that’s fixed max aperture of f/2.8? That’s a delicious lens. If I was shooting more on the reg I’d love something like that for architectural shots.
Am I the only one seeing a trend in logo changes to black text over a slightly muted color? Main example is the Amazon Prime Video logo, but I’ve seen a few others.
@swilliams I forgot you were into photography. Now I remember you had that bonkers 24mm f/1.4 lens. What else have you been shooting lately?
I’m not a dev, but I’m in the tech industry and have been a computer nerd since I was little. Starting to think about migrating to https://hachyderm.io/. Seems like a really positive community.

Standing in line for a pop-up holiday-themed bar like I’m in my dang 20s.
@[email protected] Something I find curious/interesting is whether there's any correlation between folks willing to spend money on old media of this sort in a city and the kind of long, rambling proto-essays all over the website itself.
