I've been running Linux for 15 years and am stuck. Help!

On Ubuntu Desktop, sometimes (usually after a few minutes - sometimes not at all until reboot) all file write operations seem to hang, while opening files is not a problem. Can't kill processes, they just go <defunct>. Extremely slow drawing of windows.

What's going on here? Memory and CPU look good. Open files are not crazy... io load is very low. Not virtualized.

Any ideas?

wtf? 😒
plane-notify now has mastodon integrated. It’s setup on @elonjet now too! Should be working for next flight. https://github.com/Jxck-S/plane-notify/pull/90
I think you already implemented this, but here you go... Mastodon config and bot code. by ai6yr · Pull Request #90 · Jxck-S/plane-notify

Uses Mastodon.py to post to Mastodon. The only thing which would need to be checked is the image sizing (Mastodon has strict image x/y and size requirements).

I am very proud that this scammer and con artist who I have been chasing since 2016, just pled guilty to wire fraud and money laundering. Matthew Tunstall has operated scam PACs for years, which has taken money from unsuspecting elderly people to line his own pockets and fund his lifestyle. He impersonated the Trump and Clinton campaigns raising millions of dollars that he funneled to himself. https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/20/politics/kfile-scam-pac-operator-pleads-guilty/index.html
.@drewharwell and I investigated the incident with the supposed Musk stalker and it appears to have absolutely nothing to do with the jet tracking account. The incident occurred 26 miles from the airport, a full day after ElonJet placed the plane in Los Angeles, and the alleged stalker had been monitoring and attempting to make contact with Grimes for years https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/12/18/details-of-musk-stalking-incident/ #twitterexodus #twittermigration #elonmusk #news
Musk blamed a Twitter account for an alleged stalker. Police see no link.

The incident last week underscored how Elon Musk’s personal concerns can influence his governance of a social media platform used by hundreds of millions of people.
