I'm (once again) trying to be a bit more connected to online spaces but almost immediately run up against that old difficulty of connecting with them.
But because it feels like games have so few connective spaces/events, (particularly if you are non-industry) to not be Online can be to be invisible. And I want to try to avoid that more.

Submissions close: Friday April 25th What is this? My name is Andrew and for the last 5 years I've run an alternative game anthology Indiepocalypse. Related to that I run a DIY (and open submission!) physical game market selling games on USB inside of cassette cases. (pictured below) Besides selling them online, I also table at a lot of events, large conventions and small zine fests. With the relative new establishment of the Rhody Art-Cade, a game arts group in Providence, Rhode Island, I wanted to make something to both highlight and support that scene. The disc will be a simple DVD inside a disc jacket. All proceeds will go to support Rhody Art-Cade activities, events, and whatever else it needs. There are no requirements for the games, but smaller is better since a DVD only holds ~4.7GB of data. Also, "demo disc" is not just an expression and demos are more than welcome, if not preferred. My goal is to include everything I can will probably make more volumes over time if the submissions are much more than I can fit. I'll also include a link to digital versions whether that's as a single itch.io playlist, a hidden store page of the collection, or something else but want the DVD to work as intended even if optical drives are far less common that they used to be. This was a relatively in-the-moment idea and I want them ready for PAX East (May 8-11), so I'm probably looking at a cutoff date of Friday April 25th so I have plenty of time to make the cover and get them printed.
