Digital artist, hobbyist programmer, gamedev newbie.

Gamedev focused alt account of @pixelreality. Go there for more "general" stuff from me.

Art programs of choice are GIMP, Inkscape, and GrafX2.

Fan of games old and new.
Notable examples are Half-Life, Quake, Marathon, Team Fortress 2, and many others. Kerbal Space Program and space stuff is also a passion of mine!

PC gaming since the early 2000s, working on small passion projects in my free time.
Currently playing with FTEQW and its Nuclide SDK, or GNUstep and its Objective-C SDK for simple apps.

Before you follow me, please have a detailed profile and some posts beforehand.

No bots, NSFW accounts or AI slop please!

It has gone zero days since the latest slop
Real glad that I jumped ship to FTE long ago for unrelated reasons
hey so uh

guess Godot's finally going down that slop hole huh
I do wonder what 3D modelling and render tools people used to mod Half-Life/Half-Life 2 with back in the day, after seeing these very really neat mod item renders shown off by the hlportal bot.

Probably seems a smidge early for Blender (especially for HL1) ofc
Gotta say, there's just something to isolated renders of objects (weapons, props, etc.) from old Source mods with a plain background and a stylish logo (with the user's forum handles usually attached)

So cool! A one-pixel-wide font that exploits subpixels.

perfect function doesnโ€™t exis- ๐Ÿ‘‡
A thing that is funny to me is when you go to download a piece of software and it self-describes as "a beautiful [text editor]" or "a beautiful [double-entry accounting system]", or whatever it does, and then you download it and it's basically a rectangle
what if you used billions of dollars to make windows search work instead of making ai that doesn't work idk
Selaco has sold 51,000 copies in only two weeks

The seriously impressive GZDoom-powered shooter Selaco from Altered Orbit Studios has managed to do quite well for the Early Access launch.
