@heidilifeldman No, the US has always been more accurately described as a constitutional republic (if anything, maybe you can call it an indirect democracy, but definitely not a pure form of one). @katemorley My FB account got deleted when I was away for some weeks. I registered a new email only for them to require a video selfie as the new price of admission. I didn't accept it for the same reasons when I got booted from IG under a recreation of the LongWalks account (a now defunct community prompt app). They like following you with fake profiles/hos, want you making money and showing off your face & personal life, & if you choose none of them like I did, they punish you. Good riddance😄

@Natasha_Jay Yes and no, half of my high school classmates didn't have social media when I last spoke to them. I choose pseudonyms except for LinkedIn due to being hacked and privacy concerns. I will always find a home away from home online though.
