988 is a new phone number that recently went live to help people get help in a mental health crisis. Similar to 911, this line is dedicated for anyone in need of mental health assistance of any kind.

During the Great Depression, my great-grandmother used her #yarn scraps to make #afghans for her 12 children (and later her grandchildren) with this simple stitch pattern. My mother took up her #crochet hook and continued making them - to the delight of my generation who wanted a family treasure for themselves. Now, it’s my turn to make them for my children, nieces, and nephews. I hope one of them will want to learn how to keep the #tradition alive. 🧶🪡☘️💕
