@ivory I dropped off when I merged my Apple IDs. I’d be interested in joining the beta again if at all possible.
@carnage4life I highly recommend the book The Deficit Myth. Completely flips the idea that tax revenue pays for things. In actuality governments (that issue their own currency) aren’t constrained by tax revenue. National debt is nothing like household debt.
@caseyliss I have 45.
@twostraws I recently bought Pro SwiftUI and Testing Swift after finishing Swift Design Patterns in July. I saw you updated Swift Design Patterns last month which is appreciated (although my timing was off on that one 😉). Before I start reading either of the new books I just bought, do you have plans to update either in the near future? If so I’ll hold off on starting until the revised editions are ready. If not, I’ll dive in immediately. Thanks. Appreciate the books. They’ve helped my learning.

@Iconfactory having a weird issue with disappearing text in Tot. See video attached. Any ideas?

(Also, is this the right forum for submitting bugs? I couldn’t find anything on the website.)

@marcoarment this is the greatest setting in the history of the world. I accidentally hit the scrubber several times a week, usually when pulling my phone out of my pocket. The undo seek has helped a lot, but this will change my life. Thank you!

This is one of the projects that I've been working on at MLSE over the past few months! 🐻‍❄️

Once things settle down a bit more, I'll write up a technical blog post detailing some of the interesting challenges we had to solve and decisions we made.

Maple Leafs fans can compete on the ice with new interactive gaming experience

MLSE created a game that's projected onto the rink surface for fans at Scotiabank Arena. In its five activations this season, Rink Racer has attracted participation from an average of 2,566 fans.

@carnage4life I think Peloton is focused on services more than hardware now. Their app works with any equipment and margins are way higher for digital services.

@carnage4life I think the distinction should be what the data is used for. Google (mostly) sends traffic back to NYT. ChatGPT does not.

Consequences for Google could be not being allowed to surface answers directly on search results pages. I’ve long thought that should be an area for regulators to scrutinize anyway.

@carnage4life an API call that sent a Slack message to someone to do something manually.
