As much as I would've liked Mastodon to be Twitter's accepted successor, it seems like the public is choosing Bluesky instead.
Gonna be posting more over there for the foreseeable future, whilst praying for a @tapbots client to come soon!

This is one of the projects that I've been working on at MLSE over the past few months! 🐻❄️
Once things settle down a bit more, I'll write up a technical blog post detailing some of the interesting challenges we had to solve and decisions we made.

Hey all, It's been an amazing run thanks to all of you. Eight years ago, I posted in the Apple subreddit [about a Reddit app I was looking for...
Say Hello to Ivory. We are now available to all on Apple’s App Store! We have launched as “Early Access” because we still have a lot of exciting plans ahead of that will make Ivory even better. Go download it, try it free for 7 days, and experience it for yourself!

Got into the @ivory beta, and my immediate feeling was "it's almost like I can use Twitter again, just that... this platform is totally fragmented compared to my network on Twitter".
RIP Tweetbot; I'm not sure what happens from here.
For me, the most saddening part of the Twitter exodus is the fracturing of the ~1000 interesting people/organizations that I've curated over half my life.
Some of those people will remain on Twitter, some of them might move to Mastodon instances, but with outbound links being potentially suspendable on Twitter, it'll be even harder for tooling to rebuild your follow-network to function.
Seems like today is finally the day that broke the camel's back for the people that I tend to follow on Twitter finally leaving the site.
Eagerly awaiting playing around with @ivory, since Tweetbot is my preferred method of interacting with Twitter anyways.
