We could use some more active beta testers for Ivory! We just pushed an update with the following that needs testing:

- Support for the 'read later' service, Raindrop.io
- Fixed issues with the 'read later' service, Readwise.

Join here:
https://testflight.apple.com/join/sac7QVds

You can choose your read later service in the account settings within Ivory.

(PS. This gets asked fairly often, but we haven't added the GoodLinks service because they don't have a proper network API for us to use.)

TestFlight does NOT use your App Store subscription. It is completely sandboxed and you have to subscribe separately. It is a test environment and you don't get charged when you subscribe.

@ivory thank you for specifying that!
@ivory Infuse requires that you have a Pro subscription in order to get into the TestFlight betas because people were basically using it to gain full app access for free and not actually test and report issues.

@ivory thank you very much, just installed it. I’m curious how this will work out!
@ivory Unfortunately this does not work for me. I live in the Netherlands and my account is not valid for use in the US store. Changing to the Dutch store gives an error.
@ivory awesome. On the TestFlight track now 🙌🏼
@ivory I’d been meaning to raise a bug about this, but this is broken for non-US App Store accounts on TestFlight btw
@tombuildsstuff I don't think that can be true because we'd get hundreds of complaints about it not working. There must be some other reason why it might not be working for you.
@ivory ok this is a ✨ fun ✨ one
@ivory I tried posting the original post and this popped up after previously pressing “post”
@tombuildsstuff What happens when you go to the subscription page in Ivory and hit the subscribe button?
@ivory gonna post this as two separate posts. Part 1.

@tombuildsstuff Will share this video with the developers, but my guess is it must be related to your system time in some way. Not sure if you have it manually set or configured differently in some way.

I see what is happening, but I really don't think it's related to being a non-US account as we have many users around the world using the testflight version without this issue. But definitely something is going on with yours.

@ivory my system time is set to not auto-switch to the current region, but it’s otherwise standard afaik

I’ve got a German App Store Account on an EN-DE locale device, currently on BST?

This happened when in Germany on CE(S)T over both WiFi and cellular too fwiw

@tombuildsstuff Unfortunately this stuff is most likely beyond our ability to troubleshoot. TestFlight is kind of a black box and it's hard to troubleshoot these kinds of issues. But definitely will pass this thread to our developers and see if it might be something simple.
@ivory yeah no stress, figured the context might be helpful - thanks as always :)
@ivory also hit this attaching those two videos to a single post (they’re long / big, I assume some size limit?)
@ivory (trying to post the videos, bear with me..)
@ivory Can use Tweetbot retro icon in Ivory?
@origami There should be one there now, but it might go away with iOS26.
@ivory I’m talking about this one, it was my favorite Tweet icon. Reason it got my attention and I downloded that time Tweetbot, like to have this retro icon back in Ivory or something similair exactly 😄
@ivory actually this retro icon made Tweetbot very famous that time and catching
@ivory oh yay, thanks for adding Raindrop support!
@ivory happy to see Raindrop, just started using that recently!
@ivory I’m already in your TestFlight and use the free tier of raindrop.io. Is there anything specifically you want me to bang on?
@cschrader Just want any bugs or issues reported if you run into them!
@ivory How convenient! I just switched from Pocket (RIP) to Raindrops!
@kpl @ivory Very much looking forward to Raindrop support in Ivory! I switched away from Pocket some time ago and missed the ability to directly save things from Ivory.
@jamesog @ivory I tried it this afternoon and it works great!
@ivory will you be adding the Read it Later thingy from Apple, that‘s living in Safari, at some point? :)
@fluffel That's always been there as the default.
@ivory ooooh I see, so „None“ is the Apple thingy?
@fluffel Yes. That would revert to Apple's Reading List.
@ivory Thanks for clarifying :)
@ivory I joined the beta on TestFlight, but can’t test anything because it requires a subscription. I am subscribed to the regular app, but can’t restore that purchase in the TestFlight app?
@bitbear You have to subscribe in testflight. It's not the same system as the app store. And you don't get charged in Testflight.

@bitbear @ivory

Same here. I just tried to use the TestFlight version and couldn’t activate the subscription so I had to revert.

@ivory Joint the Beta now. Can’t use my subscription for ivory?

@ivory What about a way to add to the Safari Reading List? I know that's basically baked in, too, but wondering if it'd be possible to utilize the same way you'd add to Pocket or something in Ivory, but to the Safari Reading List. Would be cool.
@JPZ It should already do that if you don't select an alternate reading list.
@ivory do you plan to also support @wallabag ?
@nhoizey Pretty sure we looked at that at one point, but didn't add it for some specific reason. We could look at it again in the future, but not at the moment.
@ivory Nemáte v pláne urobiť aj aplikáciu pre Bluesky?
@ivory
This is right up my alley since I'm a heavy user of both Ivory AND Raindrop.io. But this scare message suggests installing may overwrite all my data for the non-beta version of the app.
@freediverx It worked seamlessly for me, didn’t even have to log in. (Then you do have to subscribe and trust they won’t collect on it :) )

@venite
You're right. Worked seamlessly.

Does Raindrop appear as a read it later option for you?

@ivory Awesome, at long last I'm in the beta! Had a few issues with the subscription not taking (on the Mac), and had to subscribe on the iPhone.
@ivory Would it be possible for you to add a field for a custom API call for read it later? I would like a quick way to save links to my Linkding server.
@anders Maybe in the future, but not at this time.
