I am a Neuroimaging Scientist at Bangor University, interested in cerebral physiology, neural function, neurochemistry, and the interplay of all three. I am also a Rugby coach and fan, with an interest in making the game safer, and more accessible for all.
NeuroimagerI am a neuroimager based at Bangor University, in North Wales. Interested in cerebral physiology
Magnetic resonance spectroscopistI have an ongoing interest in using MRS to investigate and understand brain function.
PhysiologyWe are interested in the brains response to mild to moderate hypoxia, and other stressors
RugbyI am also a rugby Union coach, with an interest in player safety and welfare, and so now find myself starting research on concussion and brain health.

NASA is about to launch a mission to the most metal asteroid we know. How metal? It may have once had volcanoes of molten iron.

*THAT* metal.

This is a huge benefit of working from home and it needs to be trumpeted from the rooftops. Any company that forces workers back with one side of their face and claims to be caring about the environment out of another should be called out.

Think about a pedestrian/cyclist being hit by a car: the person with the lowest carbon footprint, space use, noise and pollution production hit by a high carbon, space-guzzling, noisy and polluting box of metal.

Roads are for **people**, not for cars - cars have their uses, but that does not imply that the whole system should be built to satisfy their merest whim.

So well done Wales for making 20mph the default speed limit in residential/built-up areas.

My Bergen tradition.
I have had a wonderful weekend talking Neuroscience and functional MRS. It has been amazing to see the insights these amazing people are producing with their ground breaking research. Really looking forward to this community growing and growing.
