I really truly absolutely hate the way “private messages” work here. Is there anywhere or any way to find the chat history with an individual?
I have seen some articles about the widelux revival project. This is exciting! I’ve always wanted a widelux but never been bold enough to risk buying one.

Hello friends, I’ve been away for far too long but have missed you all and am feeling better, so it’s time to return. I hope you have all been well and having some fun.
Hello friends, I’ve mostly been away for a few weeks, life dragged me away but I’ve missed you all, missed your photography and have missed chatting, so have dragged myself back. I shall endeavour to do better :-)

It appears the bots are starting up here now. I’ve had a string of followers appear, all following exactly 44 #BelieveInFilm related accounts, with no posts and nobody following them. It’s a strange and obvious way to get started and I wonder what their purpose is.

@moragperkins It's been nearly 20 years since I did Polaroid transfers, but when I did, I used Arches Hot Press, you would want the "Bright White" variety.

I've never used this version, but Fabriano Artistico Extra White Watercolor Paper claims to be the purest white available, and you would want hot press there also.

@admin hi admins, I hadn’t been here since Friday (I think) and today Norton 360 on my iPad is warning me that mastodon is unsafe. Something must have happened in the interim, their report page (screenshot attached) has no reviews or comments, so must be fairly new. Have you heard of any issues? I’ve ignored the warnings to reply to a friend and to send this. I’m not sure whether to use the system until I find out more, but not using it will make it hard to see any replies 😝

On the photography front, it was a big moment for me in January when Ilford published this interview on their website. If you haven't known me for long then this gives a pretty good introduction to who I am and what I do!

@DeborahParkin Simply gorgeous!! 😊😊
@HawkinsWeeks Thank you so much, David 🙏☺️
@DeborahParkin beautiful!
Would you mind sharing your technique? I’ve only ever used cyanotype paper for outlines of leaves and such.
@andrew thank you! I use a digital negative for these images & expose them under a U.V light.
@DeborahParkin that’s a really cool idea. Thanks for sharing.
@andrew you are very welcome ☺️
