another card i picked up for the deck is Bloodchief Ascension.
After seeing how @Graham_LRR wreaked havoc with it in the @LRRMTG Commander Masters PrePreRelease i had to try it out.
With Braids’ Trigger it gives the opponent the choice to either:
sacrifice nothing -> they loose 2 i draw a card
or
sacrifice something -> they loose 2 i gain 2

a recent addition to the deck was Temporal Extortion, because it falls in the category of “wait theres a black card that can do THAT” like the black “Counterspells” Withering Boon and Imp’s Mischief.
In reality you are able to cast it when most opponents are at ~20 life and more willing to pay the 10 life…
So i think this one will sadly have to leave the deck.

at first i felt really obnoxious putting fetches into a mono color deck, putting them in mostly because i would rather play my cards than them collecting dust in a binder.
But pulling creatures out of the yard at instant speed with the Witch’s Cottage and repeatedly sacrificing the Bloodghast proved to me they deserve their spot.

after reading a few primers to some cEDH decks, i find the idea kinda interesting that you should have a reason for every single card in your deck.
not only that its a “staple”, but reasons to why the card deserves a spot in the 99 over all the other “staples”.

sometimes i use the "arttag" search function on @scryfall to see if there are cards with bears on them for my ayula deck.
this lead to me discovering there is a bear in the new animar artwork, just look at that little guy.
