Small town/small protests still make a difference to let people in their area know that they aren't as alone in their suffering as they might feel (especially if they aren't attending because all their family are avid Trump supporters claiming they're the majority)

This is what democracy looks like.

Joyful, peaceful, and unified, San Diegan’s delivered a serious indictment to Trump and US Congress: “Enough of this ‘excursion’ into lawless fascism, racism, xenophobia, warmongering, cheating, stealing, grifting, abusing, and killing. We are taking the country back now!”

Only one guy held up a large black sign that said “Jan 6” in red. Nobody was hassling him nor engaging with him at all. One asshole out of 40K+ is still one too many.
