I'm very concerned that my personality and... ways... are not anything additive or positive in my friends' lives. I wish I knew better how to contribute.

I wish I knew HOW to make someone's day better. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not going on social media and posting, "You. Yes, you, the one reading this. You matter."

That's just a cheap easy Hallmark card you filled out to the world.

Thinking about how social media trained us to treat the opinions of people experiencing Big Emotions such as anger or sadness as more worthy of our time and attention

...and how that in turn trained people to speak about everything in terms of Big Emotions so they could get that attention
