Reviewers should never use LLMs to read confidential papers they have been entrusted to review, especially if the papers end up being rejected. We need to feed only high quality papers into the training of the next generation of #AI.
The more we use them, the better they get. Everyone is compelled to contribute.

The entire machinery of online discourse around building and creating has been so thoroughly captured by entrepreneurial "logic" that we've lost the language to describe what it feels like to simply make a thing that helps someone, give it away, and move on with your life...

The Noble Path

It is a truth universally acknowledged that an indie hacker in possession of a widget must be in want of a business model... Every tool is a startup now. Every script is a SaaS product. Every neat little hack you cobbled together on a Sunday afternoon to solve your own

When you try to get rid of LGPL, but LLMs generate no copyrightable works and you have accidentally gone from LGPL to Public Domain (and then you slap a license on it which you couldn’t do in the first place).

@Foxboron Yeah but that's what I mean: Just because the end result is not copyrightable, does that automatically mean that it can't be a copyright violation?

Like, changing the format or medium of something is not a copyrightable work.

So, by that logic, if I take a copyrighted MP3 and convert it to AAC and publish that, my AAC is not copyrightable, but it's not a copyright violation to take it and publish it?

That's what I mean.
