@inhll I saw someone working on a drone sim app a couple weeks back, I think. Super cool, but I'm a bit hamstrung on AVP dev because of Unity's terrible licensing (over $2k/year IIRC). Plus, quadcopters are too fun to fly in real life!

Once again, this data science and summary wouldn't have been possible without @vogelscript.

Now let me share a few highlights.

I built this shop over the course of a few evenings using #SvelteKit and Stripe. Though you can't actually use any of the ecommerce functionality in production yet! Soon™
There’s nothing for sale quite yet, but I wanted to get the bones in place for some upcoming #playdate projects. Presenting the Straw Dynamics Shop! https://shop.strawdynamics.com

Here's the color picker in action:
I just implemented some ideas from https://wildbit.com/blog/accessible-palette-stop-using-hsl-for-color-systems to build this "you can't make it ugly" color picker. This #0f0 green one reminds me of an N64 🕹️

Accessible Palette is an app for building color systems with consistent lightness and predictable contrast ratios across color levels.

This has been a fun experiment, but as I've wound down my Twitter use, I haven't really felt the need for a direct replacement. Mastodon is neat, but not something I need in my life right now. I'll be shutting this account down over the coming days.

What I have been really enjoying is making YouTube videos! It'd mean a lot to me if you checked out my channel. Either way, see you elsewhere on the internet! ✌️

Once again, this data science and summary wouldn't have been possible without @vogelscript.

Now let me share a few highlights.

#playdate

1. The average Playdate owner is in their 30s

2. The bird site has dropped off as a good source of Playdate news.

3. Some nice visuals that give us a glimpse of the Playdate's growth & delivery.

4. What people want to see in the next 12th months.

If you read the summary and find yourself with any questions, please let us know!

And if there's anything here you find interesting, I'd love to know that too.

it's *very* interesting information that only 1.58x as many people get their playdate news from twitter as mastodon. meanwhile bsky is only 30% of mastodon (and only 19% of twitter)
@Guv_Bubbs shocked there’s no mention of adding a backlight.

@robertkoons That came out a lot in the feedback at the end.

You can see it in the final few slides.
