French mayor defends holding massive Smurf rally despite coronavirus spread: "We must not stop living"

The coronavirus pandemic didn't stop thousands of Smurfs from gathering to break a world record.

As an American, this article leaves me with difficult feelings. Since the surrender of Appomattox, we have had difficulty with those who are sympathetic to the evils of the Confederate States of America. History is a complicated concept, and we must do everything in our power as individuals to stop those who want to manipulate history to serve their disgusting fetishes.

“My SS Uniform Is Just My Heritage”

Each February, Europe’s neo-Nazis converge in Budapest for the “Day of Honor,” a celebration of the SS’s record in Hungary. After unsuccessful attempts to get their unpaid wages through the company, in November 2019 Frontera workers held two protests in Tbilisi."

Climate change and the class divide | Red Flag

The unfolding climate and environmental catastrophe is an existential threat to human society. In the face of this threat, it’s commonly thought our best hope lies in convincing those in power of the need for change. But it’s wrong to believe that “we’re all in this together” and that those in charge can be pushed into action by the arguments of scientists or the lobbying of environmentalists.

The Rise of Smart Camera Networks, and Why We Should Ban Them

Police are using cameras at private businesses and homes, along with AI, to expand their video surveillance — raising privacy concerns.

Work towards a future where the human race progresses beyond brutal savagery and episodes of great evil. Ostracize fascists and avoid reactionary politics. Fight for someone you don't know as much as you are willing to fight for yourself.
