Why else would they allow the bill to be passed? Let’s be honest here, lobbyists and corporations control the government. Whoever has the most money has the most sway casue “donations are free speech”
We’ll never know why they did it. I guess depression can sneak up on the best of us 😔
Just VS Code..the closest to Visual Studio are the various JetBrains IDE’s
I could be wrong but I think the way foreign litany bases work is that they are in the thinnest legal sense “sovereign foreign territory.” To which I mean, the activities conducted on these bases are outside the control of the country who’s land they occupy.
Edit: I was wrong, amd the US are just tennants on the land which makes this a very questionable thing that they are doing.
South West Florida, a week ago - $2.60, as of yesterday $3.69
How does that interplay with the whole “Corporations are people” and if the corporation owns the llm, it could theoretically claim ownership of what the llm generates? (To be clear I agree with the decision that ai shouldn’t get a copywrite and don’t think corporations are people but I am genuinely curious)
Somehow I think unless its explicitly mentioned in that law, the result will be a hand wave and nothing changing “because its not a tax, its an ID requirement”
I see they are doing this and I can’t help but wonder, to what end? I dont know if its just the current internet echo chamber I occupy but it seems to me that its a fairly universally disliked proposition/concept to continue heaping LLMs into everything.
Im happy to try and share some positivity. It costs nothing to be kind after all. It might seem daunting or difficult now, but the only way it’ll never happen is if you stop trying, you know?
