Ouch. Hate to say it but it’s gonna get a lot worse. One crude price just broke $100/barrel. It was $90 3 days ago.
I’m in northeast and just drove around from VT to ri yesterday. In mass gas was 3.30 gal, ri was similar +/- 10 cents depending on station. VT seems closer to 3.10 or so. Thank God the warm weather is coming so I can put the damn car away and ride my single cylinder motorcycle that gets 75mpg if I am easy with my right wrist… Also very glad I sold my SUV last year and got a little Impreza cuz that alone has saved me a couple hundred a month during the snow season where I have no choice but to roll in the cage.
mesaIt’s going to get worse for sure, but in the US I expect this to have an upper bound of pain given how much oil we produce domestically. That doesn’t make us immune, but it should give some limits to the pain.
Not that I think this is ok or anything, just gives me some small hope that the bread lines might take longer to get to.

I don’t need to compensate with RAM or Dodge truck. The Peugeot is spacious enough to fit my two huge balls inside it.
I’m shopping for an EV, the market is so anemic there’s essentially only 1 model from 1 brand that’s not a humongous child killer.
The ionic? It feels overly long. I’d much rather have a sporty hatchback.

Northern Netherlands, somwhere around 2,20 for E10 Euro 95, 2,30 for diesel. Diesel is not usually more expensive than petrol.

$3.50 here too at almost every gas station in my area in the mountain states.
Two weeks ago I filled up for $3.00, and a few months ago it was $1.70 (that only lasted for about a week though).
Ooh, it hasn’t dropped below $2 here in the last decade, as far as I can remember.

I’m Australian, and really, really starting to dislike our close relationship with the US. I can see it’s a pragmatic relationship, but I hate that we have to sign on to all the idiocy - I really want our guys to tell Trump to stick it up his ass even if it costs us.

California. Prices vary between $4.75 and 5.75 a gallon. We’re in I think our third decade of paying 2x what everyone else in the US pays.
I mostly drive an EV though, so I can rest easy knowing that California electricity rates are 3x the national average. lol

People started buying EVs like crazy due to high gas prices; the utilities responded with big hikes in electricity prices. They work hard to fuck over consumers.
