@skwinnicki There should be a checkmark at the top of the notifications column which you can use to mark notifications as seen. As for the app (which one?), the site's under so much load at the moment that it might not be able to send notifications effectively - in fact a few things are slow due to the twitter exodus.

@gregcarrick Snappy name.
@Gargron We appreciate all you're doing, and how tough it is to scale systems this fast. But please, look after yourself! Avoiding outages or slowdowns may be impossible, but this isn't a startup that'll run out of cash or confidence if you don't keep it running 24/7. Mastodon will continue to succeed even if you're forced to take a breath, slow signups or whatever, even if we as users have to show some patience for a while!

Frustrating / significant issue with Lightroom on Ventura - since I updated, Lightroom is very slow to identify files on the camera and can even fail to find them all. So if you select "everything" to download, then format the camera, you lose a bunch of images.

Going to try to use photorec (https://cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec) on the card once I've got a CFexpress reader ($75 lost to this bug so far), but a 10 Gbps USB-C cable to the camera worked fine until I upgraded OSX. Not best pleased.

@srevilo R5 - the R7 wasn’t around when I switched. Crop sensor would have been nice for birds but 45Mpx has its uses too. Some details at https://parsingphase.medium.com/more-thoughts-but-no-reflections-taking-wildlife-photography-mirrorless-f244639aca13
@srevilo That would have been the Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG back then. These days I use that and the Canon 800mm f/11 most of the time.
