Even if you don’t live in #SantaFe, I’d be grateful for any help spreading the word⬇️
@evacide Back when planes didn't regularly have free Internet, I would delude myself by saying "Since there's no Internet on the plane, I'll get my coding done on the plane" only to realize once on the plane that I am rather useless without documentation.
@Cyberoutsider @GossiTheDog One of the worst times to use the recall button is when the sender forgot to BCC on a mailing list. It won't work because the sender and most receivers aren't in the same email domain, and it sends another email to everyone on the mailing list.
@jik @ncweaver.skerry-tech.com Additionally, it's clear that the legislature intended the law to apply to human people only, given that the attached reasoning for the law highlights that it "intends to protect the right of privacy of the people of this state". Although nonbinding, it does signal what the legislature meant by "parties".
@ldcd Similar to arm32, whose non-existence can be shown through its lack of support.
@StephanieMoore @erininthemorning.com None have yet, but it seems like the University of Texas at Austin will, given it's posture towards the compact.
@0xabad1dea The harvesting energy from people thing in the Matrix irked me in the same way. It doesn't make sense from a chemical standpoint, but maybe it could make sense from a harvesting compute power using brainwaves standpoint?
@raven667 @adamshostack @stephen_thomas There is no auth to read data off of passports, but it does require knowing the date of birth, expiration date, and passport number on the passport (which is on the MRZ of the passport and why automated passport scanners also have cameras to read the MRZ). The combination of all of these for a American passport is roughly 60 bits, which is a questionable amount of security but is 'enough'. For some other countries (like Dutch passports), there have been attacks in the past because of predictable passport numbers
@olikami @troyhunt I think the food menu is meant to make you think that there's a video below it and the notification is obscuring the video
@petergleick "Stage 1: We say nothing is going to happen. Stage 2: We say something may be about to happen, but we should do nothing about it. Stage 3: We say maybe we should do something about it, but there's nothing we can do. Stage 4: We say maybe there was something, but it's too late now." - Yes, Prime Minister (1986)
