Out where the road ends: Travel • Backpacking • Bushcraft • Fishing Capturing the quiet - every photo my own
First overnighter in 6 months.
Picked up a used tent a few weeks ago and finally put it to work in the snow and sub-zero temperatures.
Clear skies. Stars everywhere.
Exactly what I needed. ❄️⛺️

I’ve barely been able to get outside this winter, but I finally had the chance to step out and enjoy the snow. ❄️

Caught this shot while driving past Låtefoss recently. It’s been super dry lately, so the rain was such a relief.

Bøyabreen is a beautiful glacier in Fjærland, Norway, and part of the larger Jostedalsbreen glacier. It flows down the mountain and can be seen easily from the road. Surrounded by lush green valleys, it's a popular and accessible natural attraction. Like many glaciers worldwide, Bøyabreen has been shrinking in recent years due to climate change.

Ålesund is a coastal town in western Norway, known for its beautiful Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) architecture. The town is built on several islands, surrounded by fjords and mountains. From the Aksla viewpoint, you can see stunning views of the town and the sea.

We walked from the town center and climbed the Aksla steps to reach the viewpoint.

Trollveggen (The Troll Wall) is Europe’s tallest vertical rock face, towering around 1,100 m above the Romsdalen valley on the north side of the Trolltindene massif in Møre og Romsdal, Norway.

Carved from fractured gneiss, its sheer cliff, with overhanging sections up to 50 m, is notorious for frequent rockfalls, and has drawn daring climbers - first ascended in 1965.
