The name "Manaslu" comes from Sanskrit word "manasa," meaning "mind" or "soul." Located in Nepal, it is the eighth-highest peak in the world. Known for its challenging climbing routes and spiritual significance, The first ascent was made on May 9, 1956, by a Japanese expedition.
