@Theriac @inthehands Honestly this part has always bothered me so much. it was kind of supposed to be "don't make friends for their money" or sth but as someone who was helped by friends who were better off during hard times and who has helped friends when they were on hard times and I could... I can't imagine NOT doing that in some way seeing a friend in need.
(also I can't imagine being friends with someone for their money, but that's another thing).

Something I randomly remembered:
Yeeears ago on birbsite (when it was very difrerent and I was active) I noticed an uptick of weirdly antagonistic or pointless mansplaining replies to my tweets. I realized I had changed my profile picture to a female knight drawing: not a portrait, just a drawing I made for a business card. I swapped to a male character drawing (from my then webcomic)... and it calmed down.
(also haven't had the nasty once anywhere since I've been an eevee).

@deshipu Those people are missing the fact that there's more experts just on more specialized topics. Like, there's probably someone who is an expert on Legolas' ass throughout the movies with specific analysis where a particular stunt double was used ;P

@deshipu I think it's more people who do NOT buy new devices that often are the ones that are hit the most by it and complaning.
If someone swaps often they still have a perfectly usable device and unless something broke they can keep using it and hope for the prices to fall.
But if it was finally time for you to get a new one/something broke enough you have to replace it? It hurts.
