I realized just now that a lot of people outside Poland don't know about the mayonnaise conflict. It's an ongoing feud between fans of Winiary (currently a brand owned by Nestle,) and Kielecki (manufactured by a co-op).

The feud reintensifies during holidays (Christmas and Easter) when the vegetable salad is usually made in large quantities. The seriousness is at the level of Amiga vs. C64 feud. So some people take it too seriously, some don't so we get this:

@makdaam me, with a random vegan mayo from Biedronka: yum tasty *nods while watching the Kielecki/Winiary fans fight*
@glitcx @makdaam same feeling: standing in my kitchen with own made vegan mayo, watching this clash :3
@kasiandra @makdaam yeah with more spoons I'd make mine. I love that in vegan kitchen - that you can actually make so many things yourself
@glitcx @makdaam
Polish me: diy
Vegan me: diy
Polish vegan me: Kur*a! I cook this bigos vegan. With f*cking self made seitan
@makdaam And then, out of nowhere, comes a guy like me, like a linux fanboy midst Microsoft vs Apple fight:
@speaktrap @makdaam O, wreszcie głos rozsądku w tej dyskusji.
@PabloveSky That's not true. The best one is home made, based on the grandma's recipe.
@makdaam tylko jak pogodzić przepisy dwóch babć, gdzie jedna do majonezu nigdy jajek nie dodawała, za to druga babcia mawiała, że bez jajek nie ma majonezu ;D
@makdaam ☝️Źle.
Tylko Pomorski, Ocetix

@makdaam >,> Presently I have both in my fridge. CHAOS!!!!
