Yes, itโ€™s really me! You know, from Twitter! Please, please, hold your applause
@meow2438 ๐Ÿ˜‚ he feels I am surely on the path to developing a hyper-niche YouTube channel on the subject where I will present a narrative of findings that will let me win this argument
OK, Fediverse, serious question: how often do #rats come into peopleโ€™s homes through the toilet? My spouse is giving me the business because he thinks it is a rarity, and I quote, โ€œIโ€™m guessing even rarer than #SharkAttacks ,โ€ and this makes it weird or whatever that I want to make sure the toilet lids are closed at night so we donโ€™t get #ToiletRats . ๐Ÿ˜  Are there numbers on this? Anybody studying toilet rat incident rates?

@dead_parts hello and welcome! Your work is very cool, I love the house one!
wow
@monarobot I LOVED Mexican Gothic and I am always so happy to see someone reading it!! I looked up the others on your list - I think you might enjoy The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart. It's the first of a trilogy: the second is out (haven't read it yet), and the last comes out this fall. Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir also seems like a good fit, and For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten. All have their different little pieces of strange and old and new and body horror in one way or another.
@hootalex ๐Ÿ˜„ oh no, I can hear it
