Quite a phenomenal campaign ad from the Greens down in England. Strong. I firmly believe that any political party not running this same message will fail.
I hope 2026 treats you the way you treat trans women

George Clooney is an actor.

Put him in the role of a surgeon in front of a camera, and he will do and say things the average non-surgeon viewer will agree are surgeonish. After an hour of that, we are, as average non-surgeon viewers, satisfied and entertained.

Put him in an operating theatre, and the patient will fucking die because he's not a surgeon and knows nothing about really doing surgery.

This is a post about LLMs.

If there's a better way to let people know you're available for work than writing a curse word laden blog post, I simply do not want to hear it!

Jokes aside, what do YOU call this kind of contact page?

Ghostty is now a non-profit project, fiscally sponsored by Hack Club. https://mitchellh.com/writing/ghostty-non-profit I view terminals as critical infrastructure that should be stewarded by a mission-driven, non-commercial entity that prioritizes public benefit over profit. Ghostty is now that.

Biology fans! Would anyone like this VERY LARGE (4XL) brand new "metabolic subway" tshirt? I'm happy to give it away and will pay for second class postage within the UK. I don't want it to go to waste, and it might not be fully appreciated by a general audience at charity shops.

My daughter asked for it for xmas, and I accidentally ordered 4XL instead of S from redbubble. They will send a S and don't need me to send this one back.

@CyclingGuide And for folks who haven’t yet seen it, I *highly* recommend reading the ruling from Justice Paul Schabas. It’s a scathing assessment of the government’s legislation, and certainly the funniest legal document you’ll read today. In addition to the dry humour, it's filled with insightful, thoughtful analysis, and is an accessible and uplifting read.

A lot of the IT "solutions" for farmers are centralised, highly proprietary, complex, not interoperable and confuse the hell out of people that just want to grow food. We, IT people looking for a better life, could really help AND move to better places, closer to nature. THAT is the better way, in my humble opinion. FTR (For The Record) I grew up in agriculture. I live in the city, but I still don't like it. Back to the roots and build smart villages instead of smart cities, that's my goal :)

Perhaps it's time to tap the chart again. Left-handed people were once seen as sinister (the word sinister, from Latin, originally meant "left" or "on the left side") so kids were forced to be right-handed. However, with advances in science it became clear that brains were hard-wired for handedness, and society began to accept it as normal. The number of left-handers rose dramatically, but plateaued at 12% in the 60s and has stayed steady since.

This is a post about trans and non-binary people.

When reading all the news from the US I wonder: Dear American friends, what happened to you? You once were a brave and courageous nation with big principles. Now you are a bunch of cowards with a grifty leadership applying fascist methods and more than half of you are falling for their fascist propaganda. Why are you not acting like you wished we Germans had been acting when Hitler took power?
