Thank you for the shout out! Looking forward to more collaboration.

Thanks to NGI Mobifree fund by @nlnet I got funding to improve caniwebview.com and your data and tools are invaluable for #webviews. This is your well-deserved piece of the pie.

I might be naive but we could use another #WebView

Can another WebView improve all of them?

WebViews are in a weird spot. They sit between web and native, and the teams developing them sit somewhere between browser engine and OS development. I’ve heard that developing features for WebViews can take 30-50% longer than for browsers. Maybe that’s why WebViews are often an afterthought? What if we could decouple WebView development from platform development and the business interests of native app ecosystems? Could a truly open and independent WebView bring fresh air into this space?

The talk "Effective Standard-setting" by @tobie was a personal highlight right at the end of #fosdem. As someone pretty new to web standards I really need all perspectives I can get. #standards #cra.
I didn't expect to see so many known faces from the @w3c community at #fosdem. We had lots of great conversations about #webviews, #webstandards and @servo as well. I'm leaving with a long list of TODOs and follow-ups.
Learning about WebViews at the #FOSDEM Browsers & Web Platform dev room, including the https://caniwebview.com site that (much like CanIUse) tells developers which features are available in which webviews – using BCD data maintained by @openwebdocs (which was presented earlier by @patrickbrosset).

On my way to FOSDEM. Is anyone I know also in Brussel this weekend?
