For computer graphics academics and researchers, I threw this list of folks together. Apologies if I've forgotten anyone or included anyone who prefers to be forgotten! Let me know if there are any errors or corrections. Hoping this will help folks migrating from the birdsite. ๐Ÿ™‚

With AgX being adopted as the default view transform in Blender 4.0, a friendly reminder that it can be used in games too! There are a few shadertoys out there including mine, but the best is the one Benjamin Wrensch was kind enough to write. A nice tidy post + implementation + shadertoy.

Interestinglyโ€ฆ one can arrange the working system such that the flight of chromaticities toward blackness and whiteness is inverted; toward blackness will converge to complements, and toward whiteness toward primaries. Leads to some subtly nuanced results. (No attempt at tuning. Some posterization manifesting.)

Iโ€™ve lost follower acquaintances for saying this, so Iโ€™m saying it again: If you think that Statistical Nonsense Machines (wrong terms โ€œAIโ€ or โ€œMLโ€) make art, you donโ€™t have a clue what art is.

No, really. Go study it.

Art is sociological artifact. Remove the cognition to create interpreted intent in relation to the sign and signified, and the concept of โ€œartโ€ is removed.

Literally *not* art.
