Just finished an example for my tasty new svg parsing add-on for @openFrameworks

Working on adding thick lines to #openframeworks for the programmable renderer in both screen and world space via mesh construction and shader.
Getting too hot for wood projects in the garage. Probably last one for a while. Double wide step stool.
Started as a single 2” thick piece of mahogany our neighbor gave us.

Lowtech air flow visualisation

My very first kinetic piece has no motor, and doesn't need electricity to function: it's a grid of small modules that self aligns with the ambient air flow or wind.

Excited to be back at FITC #Toronto this year to talk about play, #interaction, #immersive spaces and experimentation and our work with #openFrameworks.

Hoping to catch up with some of you there and meet new people in the interactive installation space.

Happy new year!
We now have setup guide for #vscode for #openframeworks with macOS, Linux and Msys2. The nightly builds on our GitHub also have much better VS Code support.

OpenCV does not get much attention in press. Based on the recent tech press, maybe we aren't dramatic enough. Instead of stirring up some drama, we're calling on everyone in the OpenCV community for assistance- not just financially, but by sharing and reposting the campaign. Here are the ways you can help spread the word:

openFrameworks was part of the Open Source For the Arts event last year. Hosted by COSA. It was a wonderful event with great discussions amongst a diverse group of OSSA orgs. There is an open call for the 2024 event. #OpenSource #mediaart #dataviz

🌟 Open Call for Applications for the upcoming 2024 Open Source Arts Contributor's Conference

The Clinic for Open Source Arts (COSA) at the University of Denver and the Processing Foundation are excited to announce the 2024 Open Source Arts Contributors Conference! 🔍 We are looking for applications from people who are current or potential contributors to open source creative software tool communities. Whether you are beginning your open-source journey 🚀 or already contributing, we want to hear from you! 📢 Contributors include those who are advocates🗣️, active forum participants📚, authors of documentation and tutorials🛠️, as well as those who contribute to the codebase or addons/libraries💻. We are especially interested in people who might be part of underrepresented identities within the creative open source software community. 📣 Additionally, we are seeking your nominations! Know a colleague or peer who's making waves, albeit quietly? Someone who's beginning to shape the field but hasn't yet stepped into the contributor's spotlight? We need your help finding exceptional (new or less visible) community members who may not yet call themselves contributors. We are especially interested in those who will bring new ideas and perspectives to our community. Nominate someone by sharing this form with them. 💌 Embrace this chance to not only showcase your own work 🖼️ but to discover and uplift the others in our midst. Let's collaborate & celebrate! 🧠Check out what happened at OSACC 2023 via COSA Report, p5.js Report, Attendee Vlog! Timeline: 📆 The call for applications will close on December 8, 2023 🏁 📆 Invitations to selected participants will be sent before January 15th 2024 📆 The conference will happen on April 11-13, 2024
