It doesn't really matter in the Scheme of Things, but it drives me personally up a wall every time I see some "Holiday Tree" event in December. Come on. You are fooling no one but yourself, no one feels included who wouldn't have already been by a Christmas tree.

Imho it's worse than a "holiday party" where people just happen to sing Christmas carols together and wear Santa hats, because here there's this confused implication that other December holidays involve tree decorating. At least everyone likes to eat cookies and laugh at tacky sweaters.

It looks like Netflix is promoting it and it's highly ranked in "movies today," I just hope all the folks watching it are taking it to heart.

One genuine life pro tip I think I could share is: find ways to make your personal distorted thoughts into something positive. Like when I can't fall asleep because I feel like I accomplished nothing that day and am generally worthless, that is when I sign up to make a blood donation. That's also how I originally made my Kiva account.

I donated blood recently and I'm still riding that high. Might not have gotten much work done lately at my job but I saved up to three lives. 💪
