Weekend update to my rope-like for the eggplant jan 2023 game jam #2023output
Li'l squiggly guy, this is going to be a rope in a game about spelunking into a well #2023output

#LudumDare52 collab; didn't get as far as I'd hoped, but straight up, it's the first Ludum Dare I've ever finished.

It's a tile-sliding game where the tiles have directions on them that will guide a harvester when the time's up. The plan was to creation tension between having a long route, but "fulfilling recipes" by making the route go through certain sequences of colors.

Only got the tile-sliding and route following done. The gameplay is surprisingly stressful 🥴

#LoveByteTCC Day 7, Mix & Match - 255 byte (final?) #pico8 version. Lost color, and image is no longer centered, but animation is identical to v0. Had to lose room due to needing a proper _draw() function to avoid tearing :/ Code in comments!
#LoveByteTCC Day 7, Mix & Match : Combining tunnel + wavy text. This is v0, weighing at 400 bytes right now. Text is a bit hard to read, but I think the motion of the effect is pretty cool :) Will try for <256 tonight!

#LoveByteTCC Day 6. Got the previous idea down to 254 bytes of #pico8 code. Had to make some minor artistic concessions. Very happy with this!

#LoveByteTCC Day 6. Need to shrink this down; currently weighing in at 600 bytes. I like it, but will work on shrinking it to <256 next.
