Mitterlehner und Nehammer wurden wegen ihrer Tendenz zur Großen Koalition sogar aus den eigenen Reihen als Parteichefs abgesägt.

Ein Reminder: Seit 1999 hat die ÖVP nur einmal eine Mehrheit mit der FPÖ nicht zur Koalition genutzt. Das war praktisch direkt nach Ibiza im Jahr 2019.
Sowohl Klima (99), Gusenbauer (02), Van der Bellen (02), Kern (Kurz-Sobotka sprengten Regierung 16 + keine Koalition 17), Rendi-Wagner (19) und Babler (24 - im Paket mit Meinl-Reisinger oder (auch inakzeptabel) Kogler-Gewessler) wurden ansonsten nach Möglichkeit alle vermieden. (1/🧵)
