GrapheneOS is based in Canada but we don't promote it based around it being based in Canada. We're willing to move our non-profit and operations elsewhere in the future if Canada ever passes laws incompatible with our goals. It's based in Canada because it was practical rather than as a core value or approach of GrapheneOS. If Canada goes down the same path as the EU and starts passing laws we cannot accept, then we'll leave Canada rather than ruining GrapheneOS. They won't do that with the EU.

Trying to build a GUI Linux distro with Buildroot. Just Buildroot. No Debian, no Arch. Just pain 🫩

Xorg? Black screen. Wayland? Sounds like a fantasy novel. Kernel panic? Oh yeah, got that too 🫨

But I will make this work, because minimalism deserves a desktop 🤟🏻

So @xaitax has cracked Microsoft Recall, he's got access to the encrypted database and has automated dumping of screenshots and all text from screenshots.

I've looked at most recent Recall and yep, you can just read the database as a user process. The database also contains all manner of fields which aren't publicly disclosed for tracking the user's activity.

No AV or EDR alerts triggered, world's #1 in infostealer 😅

* you can just read it in plain text

Ahead of tomorrow's release of four new #curl CVEs I want you to know: we do our very best to secure curl every step of the way. Security is hard.

A big win for ODF, the EU Commission DG CONNECT has added the ODS template to the CRA Guidance feedback process, reacting promptly in a positive way to our request. Kudos to DG CONNECT.
