@chromakode I like your explanation why you are responsible for your work no matter who decides what it is used for.

> Because having moral standards demands actively participating, and actively participating on most important things involves moral hazard.

This is what I thought about the last days. Sounds motivating as in "doing nothing helps nothing". But also could justify everything just because it might be for good. Seems a balance is key.

@chromakode Thanks for the detailed reply! Very impressive results for "just" some libraries rather than a full game engine using Canvas.
After you are that much into open source and quality and justice and somehow sarcasm, may I ask what you do for a living? Might be hard to find a job for someone who has some moral standards.
@chromakode The Javascript and DOM look extremely clean. Did you use any engine for graphics, interface or physics?

I know you guys like funny or weird source code comments. Here are interesting comments in the source code of SQLite https://github.com/endlesssoftware/sqlite3/blob/master/os.h#L133

Dear Microsoft. Here is a list of things I want the Start Menu to do:

* Show my installed programs
* Search my local files
* Provide access to system settings

Here is a list of things I do *not* want the Start Menu to do:

* Show the weather for a randomly-selected town near my network's public IP infrastructure
* Show tabloid headlines
* Show programs I *don't* have installed
* Search the web via Bing
* Show adverts(!)
* Attempt to engage me in conversation with a hallucinating LLM

Thanks.

Never expected to be an answer on a quiz show!

This is from the BBC show ‘Pointless’ where contestants try to answer the questions which few other people knew the answer to, ideally the pointless ones!

Unlike Greta, who many people knew, I am officially pointless! 🤣

@eloquence What I don't understand in this debate: Instagram bans a lot of people posting about their life, hobby, sports, job. Instagram is a dicatatorship and only some opinions and lifestyles are allowed. Most of the profiles I (as a pole dancer) follow are shadow banned or banned.
It seems like creators who prefer Insta over X want to be seen in a shiny world of lies, polished for hypocritical familys and ads. The choice is not about Nazis or moderation. It is about the platform's image.
@discoveringpolyamory I am not sure if polybombing exists at all. It would mean that both partners had a free and educated choice before and really did not plan to have no other partners. They confirmed this choice regularly. But one day, on partner changes his mind. This surprises the other partner.
I never heard about this. I always hear about one partner comes up with poly while the other starts thinking about it then. So it is more like the other partner is monobombing at that moment.
@dangillmor Seems like this depends on the definition of a free web. As a developer I have a good connection to the Chrome team. They fix regressions fast and often stick to the standards. Chrome never tells the creators that their content is inappropriate. Completely different to Safari where us developers are treated as idiots.
Google does not care about their users and never did. They see freedom as in free creators that can do restriction management or tracking as they like.
