@glyph Having used the new and exciting Postgres 9 since 2010, leaving MySQL behind after it quietly managed to mangle the 4th or 5th dataset things have gone from strength to strength. Sure it could have better support for replication, null characters, table maintenance etc etc- it doesn't baby you, but it doesn't throw you any curve balls either.

@jhooper @jonathankoren @Smart_e_Disharmony Sorry I don't engage with personal attacks.
@Dss @jonathankoren @Smart_e_Disharmony Specifics aside, when there are only 2 parties and one starts copying the others policies you're inevitably going to lose votes from your base.
Of those from the other side you are trying to attract, who are they really going to pick at the ballot? A black woman or a white man? It never had legs from the start.
@jonathankoren @Smart_e_Disharmony If the other viable option, in an attempt to thwart tyranny, decides to adopt policies that are very similar to the party that they are trying to stop is it really a surprise that limiting the available choices is going to lose votes?
