Tech Researchers for Palestine Workshop: Researching & Organizing Around Academic-Military Ties
When: Tuesday, September 17, 5-6:30PM ET, online only. RSVP here to receive the zoom link! In this workshop, hosted by Tech Researchers for Palestine, organizers from campuses across the United States will share methods for uncovering financial and academic ties to the military-industrial complex. Through a series of 4 case studies, we will share concrete steps for uncovering financial ties, both via university endowments and research funding, as well as other kinds of academia connections. We will also share strategies for using this research as a vehicle for organizing and action toward cutting these financial ties. We will include time for co-working for groups to get started doing initial research steps and strategizing for their own institutional context, so that participants can leave with concrete next steps.
