Two @ERC_Research Consolidator Grants for @mpicbg researchers: Meritxell Huch and Dora Tang are two of 321 laureates of the 2023 ERC Consolidator Grants. Meri aims to uncover principles of liver repair and disease across different biological scales and exploit this knowledge to reconstruct the tissue in a dish. Happy Holidays from us to everyone!🎄 This very tiny snowman was created by Jana from our electron microscopy facility. It is made of recycled TEM copper mesh grids, which are slides for electron microscopy. They have a diameter of 3.05 millimeters and consist of 100 little squares called "meshes." Jana cut all the little parts out of some grids, put the parts together, and mounted it on a glass slide. The picture was taken with a light microscope. #mpicbg #merrychristmas #snowman
