Update: moved this to my new writing site so there’s a new URL.

Every hashtag on every post on every platform should always be pascal case. I wrote this to illustrate how screenreaders read hashtags based on their case.

It’s a small thing that all of us can do to build a more inclusive, accessible internet for all. Please take the time to use pascal case.

It's truly embarrassing just how much happier, less tense, and better focused I've been in my home office since I started using a radiator instead of the wall heater. Apparently I just hate noise? How can such a small thing have such a big impact on me 😭

“Am I scared of the state? Pretty silly not to be. I’m a brown person. I might be killed by the police for existing in certain spaces. [But] fear is the mind killer ... you can’t let the fear stop you from doing things, from living, from existing, from resisting.”

I should never have to write a manifesto. If you're writing a manifesto, it's too late. Something has gone wrong. You were supposed to be making tea with honey.

Oh cry me a river. Hundreds of languages of the indigenous peoples colonised by Russia have gone extinct. Millions of oppressed people all over the Soviet Union were forced to learn Russian while being constantly told that their own languages were “primitive” and “uncultured”. https://twitter.com/ce_tracey/status/1614629192565690369

Russian studies people should be busy with re-evaluating their field and ridding it of centuries worth of colonialist narratives but instead they just keep writing op-eds about how the eight biggest language in the world is totally getting canceled right now https://twitter.com/ce_tracey/status/1614629192565690369

@BayesForDays is your advice for all grad school programs, or specifically PhD programs, or maybe specifically research-oriented programs? The ones I'm mainly looking at are Masters and more course-based.

Is this the accessibility-focused HCI program I've been looking for all these years? Maybe!
