Is anyone here good with plumbing? I have a leak on this very old 1/2" iron pipe in the garden. It's directly connected to the water main, so have to fix it to turn water back on. No valves in between where I could disconnect it. Can I just cut below the leak and replace it with steel or PVC pipe? How would I fit the new piece on the old one and keep the pressure?
