I will never tire of saying these two words to my lovely readers: THANK YOU. Thank you for giving me one more reason to show up every single day, for the encouragement and for the ideas and insights you share with me. Thank you. #amwriting

What's something you thought would be good for you but ended up having the opposite effect?

As a former productivity nerd, I've been much happier with my work and become more productive since I stopped caring about productivity. Is my process a bit of a mess? Yes, but I'm working on it. Am I consistent? Not always, and that's ok. #amwriting

Just wrapped up my latest read and I’m in dire need of new books to add to my list. I'm into stories with the right combination of dark themes and beautiful prose. Help a sister out and drop your suggestions in the comments below.

Notes from the metro

A few months ago, I went for a little #photowalk in Jumeirah. It was a bit overcast that day but I'm still happy with these. I don't visit the area very often but I'm super keen to return as soon as the weather allows it.

The revision of my old material is not progressing as I expected. A lot of my old stories don't vibe with what I'm trying to do right now. I don't know what to share on Substack and what to save for a book. What kind of book do I want to write? What would set apart my book from what I post online?

I thought all I had it all figured out, but it seems it's going to take much longer than I thought. It's still an exciting process, and I hope you'll join me in this journey. #amwriting

Did you know I send out a free newsletter with a brand new #shortstory every week? If you enjoy work from authors like Ursula K Le Guin or movies like Her, then my work's right up your alley.

You can join in on the fun here: https://notesmetro.substack.com/.
