@[email protected] Ah, sorry. A bit defensive about my Dad. Our whole commmunity was full of small family farms, and none of them ever had a bit of money. My Dad was also a PHD in Education and History, and as liberal as they come. It's really the large corporate farm conglomerations that get fed money. (At least we never saw any in my neck of the woods)

@[email protected] @mekkaokereke My Dad, a farmer, got a grand total of $1,500 from the government not to farm a parcel of land. Had to take out loans for seeds and fixed old equipment long past it's useful date. He raised flax and soybeans and lots of garden food for us and the neighbors, but do tell me more.

@mekkaokereke Hi. I think most of the racist hate (not all) comes from the faux Christians (again, most definitely not all), that follow the religion of hate and money. I was raised that we are supposed to love and help each other, that we are all brothers and sisters.

Trump's tariffs when he was POTUS cost us billions of dollars.
Trump used the proceeds from those tariffs to buy votes from rural red agricultural communities.
Sixty-six billion dollars were collected from tariffs coming in to USA. Trump provided additional subsidies to farmers of sixty-one billion dollars.
I don't think that our legacy MSM explains this well to their audience.
