Trump used the proceeds from those tariffs to buy votes from rural red agricultural communities.
Sixty-six billion dollars were collected from tariffs coming in to USA. Trump provided additional subsidies to farmers of sixty-one billion dollars.
I don't think that our legacy MSM explains this well to their audience.
