@arstechnica The collective brain rot which has overtaken the marketing industry over the past 10-15 years really is fascinating. I'd really like to understand what has changed.
From generic brand refreshes to this type of brand destruction, it seems marketers are more interested in hitting superficial benchmarks and appealing to nobody in particular to achieve mass appeal, rather than identifying and diversifying an existing core base. The result is a bland market where nothing means anything.
