Thinking that the Fediverse should consider rebranding likes from “Favoriting” (I like your toots, folks, but not sure they are my FAVORITE) to something else.

Trumpeting?
Echoing?
Nodding?

Clearly I’m not in marketing. But the point remains!

So far I still can’t get over the lack of #NBA (especially #Celtics) accounts here. @nbamemes is a good one I follow on Facebook and #Twitter but the guy last touched the account here years ago?

I also don’t see how Mastodon “succeeds” (depending on your goal.. maybe most don’t want it to become Twitter!) if brands can’t own their accounts here… i.e. @celtics being a dude named Charlie.
