@dougmerritt @ChuckMcManis I have sooooo many I got for free from their sample program 20+ years ago.
@ChuckMcManis I've had decent luck hand soldering these by globbing on a bunch of solder and then slowly solder wicking away the bridging.
@fondoffawns @Alice this is bringing back memories from almost 20 years ago when my roommate had an abscess on his back cleared out or whatever they do. I then had to shove gauze in there a few times until he found another victim (now wife) to do his bidding.

@Alice how can you show us that but not how it healed? (Whoops I kept scrolling and found it)

Also, tell the truth. How many things did you stick in there...

@mattblaze ya, also very different motivating political environment. Who knows how that has seeped into their heads.

Maybe we can at least hope people join the national guard to help people and aren't all ideologically aligned with the current administration.

@mattblaze after 9/11 this was a common sight in NYC for many years, and at least I don't remember horror stories from back then. No idea if they actually did anything to make anyone safer though. Most or all had highly visible long rifles of some sort.

With Trump's tariffs hitting imports hard, software engineers should learn languages like C, C#, Rust, and Ruby which don't use `import` statements.

This week, I hope to submit a Python Enhancement Proposal to change the `import` keyword to `use` to avoid tariffs.

"no, Hal, they aren't. open the doors"

"you are right, that is my mistake. i have now opened the doors"

"Hal, the doors are still not open. open the doors!"

"you are right, the doors are not open. i have now opened the doors"

"Hal! the doors are still not open! i'm dying out here!"

"i am sorry, i did not open the doors when i said i had. that was my mistake. the doors are now open"

@msbellows please don't give them ideas

@GreenFire interesting. Was there any justification given?

I've had an EV for almost 5 years and will absolutely replace it with another, but isn't a tax like this kind of inevitable? If the world magically stopped consuming gasoline overnight for driving, wouldn't we come up even shorter on funds to maintain roadways?

On the other hand, you could argue that road maintenance should come from a general fund, and not just paid for by road users.
