Another thought of the day.
Why don’t phones come with a security feature that lets you set up an alternative unlock code that does open the device but presents a false dummy interface with content that looks real but is not yours? This could save lives at US border control today.
Thank you everyone who attended the #demoscene talk at #eurofurence today! The fact that we managed to fill an even larger room than we had at NFC with audience members excites me a lot about how much interest there is in the demoscene as a whole!
I unfortunately forgot to show the final statistics from the poll I linked during the talk, but here it is in image form.
There were a lot of talented people sitting in that audience, and I think you should all explore taking part in the demoscene, it's a really fun way to express yourself, or work as a team to show off your skills to a huge audience of like minded people.
Maybe some day, if there's enough interest, we can host a mini demo-party at a furry con!

Microsoft BASIC for 6502 has been open sourced. This is quite culture historical feat, so thanks MS!
"One notable difference between #X11 and #W3C is the case of “Gray” and its variants.
In #HTML, “Gray” is specifically reserved for the 128 triplet (50% gray). However, in X11, “gray” was assigned to the 190 triplet (74.5%), which is close to W3C “Silver” at 192 (75.3%), and had “Light Gray” at 211 (83%) and “Dark Gray” at 169 (66%) counterparts.
As a result, the combined #CSS 3.0 color list that prevails on the web today produces “Dark Gray” as a significantly lighter tone than plain “Gray”, because “Dark Gray” was descended from X11 – for it did not exist in HTML nor CSS level 1 – while “Gray” was descended from HTML." #til #Gray #DarkGray #Grey
