Hanging out in that liminal space between "as far as I know this PCB layout is finished" and "if I stare at it longer I might discover something that's wrong that I can correct before I pay money to have this committed to a physical form".

"[W]e live in a world […] that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world."

As a philosophical exercise intended to demonstrate one flaw in this particular moral cosmology, I volunteer to beat the shit out of Stephen Miller.

The 5 year old is taking at least a minute to pull up his shorts after using the toilet because today he decided to wear two pairs of underwear and three pairs of shorts.
So many people who voted for the Wolves Eating Faces party just now waking up to the fact that their face might get eaten soon.
If GenZ is going to insist on being a bunch of lickspittle fascists may I propose we start referring to that subset as "babiest boomers"?
Fuck it, give that man another Nobel Prize just for this!

Y'all, there's a lot of sad shit going on in the world right now, so let me remind you of something to look forward to:

This FT story (quotes me) focuses on the problems solar creates for Pakistan's power grid, which is stuck making capacity payments to coal plants. It's losing sales to its best customers, wealthier households and businesses, which can afford to go solar. This increases power prices for everyone else.

The story is good. Always worth considering the downsides of things. And it is, I think, the first case where solar is actually driving a utility death spiral.
